PocketCaregiver™

About & Disclaimers

How PocketCaregiver™ is meant to be used — and where its limits are.

Important disclaimer

PocketCaregiver helps you organize and track care information. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always rely on a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

PocketCaregiver is a personal organizer for medications, vitals, appointments, symptoms, and care notes. It does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatments, or replace a clinician. Always discuss medical decisions with a qualified healthcare professional.

Scope & HIPAA

PocketCaregiver is a personal care-tracking tool. It is not a HIPAA-covered service, a medical device, or a medical record system, and it is intended for individuals organizing care for themselves or a loved one — not for professional, clinical, or agency use. We protect your data with row-level access controls and encryption in transit and at rest, but we do not make regulatory-compliance claims.

How alerts work — and their limits

Alerts in PocketCaregiver are based only on values you enter and simple reference ranges. The app cannot detect problems it doesn't track, and it does not replace clinical judgment. Use alerts as prompts to look more closely, not as diagnoses.

  • Alerts use simple ranges and trends from values you record.
  • They can miss conditions that aren't reflected in those values.
  • AI-generated insights may be incomplete or inaccurate.
  • Nothing in the app should be treated as a clinical assessment.

In an emergency

In an emergency, call your local emergency number (e.g., 911 in the US). Do not use PocketCaregiver to report emergencies.
